Freddie O'Connell, a friend and neighbor (and now mayor of Nashville), reached out to me with a simple request, “Do you have any time this week or weekend to talk about creative design work for my bid for Metro Council next year?” That marked the beginning of our collaboration on what would become his winning campaign.
I took the lead in creating the visual identity for the campaign, starting with the logo design. The "Ready for Freddie" logo was a cornerstone of this identity, capturing the energy and spirit of Freddie's bid for office. I extended this branding across a suite of materials, including bumper stickers, yard signs, flyers, and event collateral, ensuring consistency and recognition at every voter touchpoint.
The success of our collaborative efforts came full circle when Freddie acknowledged me as "the mastermind of the Ready for Freddie brand in 2015." I was proud to continue my work with him on his 2019 re-election campaign materials, reinforcing the brand we had built together.
These materials were designed to capture attention quickly and convey essential information at a glance, important for engaging potential voters in public spaces.
